About Me

Shyla Parsons

I am a senior journalism student at West Virginia University. I am studying Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Communication Studies.

During my time at WVU: I have been a sports writer for The Daily Athenaeum and a newscaster for U92 The Moose. I have also been a member of Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), which I am now the president of WVU's RTDNA Chapter.

I have studied abroad to Hong Kong, China, Japan and South Korea.

I have interned with NewsGD in Guangzhou, China, WBOY in Clarksburg, WV and WVPB in Morgantown, WV.
